Job Summary
The Junior Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting with financial processes, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, and supporting the operations team as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience in the construction industry and proficiency in Peachtree Accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Support the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, including VAT, payroll taxes, and financial reporting requirements.
Assist with cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain proper financial records and documentation in line with company policies.
Work with project teams to ensure proper cost tracking and budget management.
Support the operations team as needed in financial-related tasks.
Assist with external audits and liaise with tax authorities when required.
