Job Position 1 – Operator (Hawassa Plant)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: The position requires a minimum of TVET Level ¾ or Diploma and CoC certification in Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Mechanics or Industrial Electricity or Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Electricity or Electronic Engineering/Chemistry/chemical engineering/Food science
2 years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing shop floor setting
Location: Hawassa
Deadline : March 27,2025

Duties and Responsibilities
Completing and maintain written documentation certifying completion of quality inspections, sanitation requirements, batch and blending production following SOP’s, and basic maintenance tasks.
Maintaining sanitation of machinery, equipment, storage bins, workstations, etc
Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Completing daily and weekly tasks using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure quality and repeatable results
Ensuring continuous operation of process equipment at specific process line through active process monitoring and troubleshooting
Effectively communicating job knowledge and process changes with team members and management through various forms of daily communication (shift handover meeting, daily production meetings, action logs, work orders, etc.).
Performing quality inspection of product using basic lab equipment and SOP’s as a guide
Reporting safety and/or equipment issues to line manager and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Job Position 2 – Mechanic (Hawassa Plant)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: The position requires a minimum of TVET Level 3 or TVET Level 4/Diploma or bachelor’s degree and CoC Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or General Mechanics or Industrial/ Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical Engineering related field of studies
5 or 2 or 1 respective years’ experience as Welder in FMCG factory or industrial setting
Location: Hawassa

Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical parts & equipment malfunctions and makes timely repairs and/or adjustments; monitors repaired equipment to ensure proper function
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices & equipment; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
Installs mechanical equipment and machinery, which may involve numerically controlled equipment hydraulics, pneumatic, and electromechanical gears,
Contribute to machinery and mechanical equipment maintenance, adjustment and monitoring to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
Auditing the performance of mechanical components, devices & installation inside the factories and follow up the Ultrasonic testing, pressure vessel testing. Safety valve testing etc. on site with subject matter expert
Design and propose new methods and equipment that can reduce costs, increase quality, or enhance safety.
To provide technical and organizational assistance to the other functions and the sites / workshops on demand.
Participate in overhaul/predictive audit activities to ensure the equipment/machine is in good condition
Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance routines and make revisions / improvements to increase the effectiveness of maintenance activities
Follow up on method office equipment’s and tools status and inventory on defined interval, To upkeep the health of instruments by keeping inventory of consumables
Ensure all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with the legal regulations of safety, health and environment, the company policy and the nature of work
Study and testing of new machine , equipment & prepare assessment reports , give analyses to technique department and to develop the Standard operating procedures
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Job Position 3 – Electrician (Hawassa Plant)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: The position requires a minimum of TVET Level 3 or Level 4/Diploma or bachelor’s degree and CoC in Industrial Electricity or Electro Mechanics or Electronic Technology or Industrial Electricity or Electrical Engineering or related field of studies
5 or 2 or 1 years’ experience as Electrician in FMCG factory or industrial setting

Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose electrical equipment malfunctions and makes timely repairs and/or adjustments; monitors repaired equipment to ensure proper function.
Conduct inspections/predictive audits and tests on electrical systems and prepare detailed reports
To do test, calibration, installation , repair, and inspection of electrical equipment, monitoring devices and instrument of Method Office & factory.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) controls, A.C inverters, or any other control systems whenever support is required from any BGI factory.
Timely response to emergency repairs, along with implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of predictive maintenance schedules for the operating equipment and plant. If needed to visit site to support immediately
Study and testing of new machine, equipment & prepare assessment reports , give analyses to technique department and to develop the Standard operating procedures
To Prepare / Develop new tools and devices or equipment to solve the problems of the Factories or workshops to treat long term issues.
Install and maintaining electrical systems and instruments by performing electrical, instrumentation, and control wiring and installations when required both in CAD and E-Plan
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
Completing corrective maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, pneumatic , conveyor systems, measuring devices, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Raise CMMS work worder, Organize and register machines history card, register type of repairs done on the machine and spare part used, confirm the history card properly documented.
Install supply, distribution, and production equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controls, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems etc
Conduct basic preventive maintenance through proactive inspection and testing of electrical or electronic systems to locate malfunctions, using visual inspections and testing instruments
Diagnose or repair minor problems of electrical or electronic systems and overhauls electrical components of all type of machineries
Ensure the 5 S & organization of the Workshop as per defined rules.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

Job position 4 – Executive Driver

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: The position requires a minimum of 10/12th Grade Complete and automobile driving license.
Experience: 5 years’ experience providing driving to company leadership team
Language: English

Job Summary
Provide safe and secured transportation service at all the required time by making sure the vehicle is always clean, with all the required safety clearance and all mechanical care taken.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide security and escorting service all time
Perform routine preventive maintenance, check the engine oil and oil of other parts, and change the tire
Assure the safety of the vehicles before any movement by checking the required checkpoints,
Assure the cleanliness of the vehicle
Get proper preventive maintenance service for the vehicle according to schedule and adjust, lubrication and service time by not affecting day to day work
Manage the vehicle logbook for fuel & lubricant usage, movement and milage, and any malfunctions and accidents and report with the given reporting schedule,
Provide the required transportation and executive security service
Ensure that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid accident, penalty and towing,
Ensure all the necessary safety pre-conditions are met before getting onboard,
Responsible for equipment, tools, chains, spare tyres placed in the vehicles and reports any changes,
Inform to the immediate supervisor about service, maintenance and other possible repairs needed in advance and fill in technical report,
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

Job position 5 – Clinical Nurse (Contractual)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: The position requires a minimum of TVET Level 3/Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing /health officer and professional license from respective Drug food and medicine Authority
Experience:years’ respective hands on progressive professional experience in health care service especially hospital.

Job Summary
Perform all clinical duties by providing overall health advice and evaluation, administering emergency medical treatment and medication to employees and implementing the required procedures and processes regarding health safety standards on company premises (clinic).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor day-to-day clinic’s operations and handle complaints from clients/ patients and employees, Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.

Follow up personal hygiene of those employees working in food related, like, production, staff Canteen, cleaners, & etc. Follow up and make sure that all workplaces are sanitized properly and safe for health as required,

Follow up and facilitate general health checkup examination as per the employee health annual schedule, ensure that clinic and working facilities are clean and prevent the spread of disease by sanitizing and maintaining equipment, ensure proper disposal procedures for potentially hazardous materials including needles and tubing and clean equipment meet,

Ensure confidentiality of the patients is kept, Review and verify medical documents and invoices, follow up contract of hospitals is up to date. Record and report accidents in consultation with HSE officer, Report to local government Health office as per the regulation and copy is kept in the clinic,

Monitor all medicines are kept well and medical equipment’s are calibrated timely, ensure infection-control procedures, policies, and regulations implemented appropriately, refer company’s patient/ employees to Hospitals those have agreement with BGI Ethiopia.

Participate in the health and safety of employees. Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor
