Job Position 1 – Program Admin Assistant

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: College/university degree in Accounting, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience for diploma holders or 1-year relevant work experience for first degree experience as program admin assistant, procurement, financial management or related work.

Job Position 2 – DRM/NRM Specialist

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BSC in Rangeland Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science/Environmental Management, Disaster risk management, Rural development and other fields related to NRM/DRM or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Desired:
Master’s degree in Range Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Rural development or other field related to climate change and NRM.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on Disaster Risk Management, Natural Resources Management, Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM), Dryland NRM, Pastoral livelihoods and development.
Experience in practical field-based activity implementation in dryland areas.
Willingness and ability to perform field work and spend extensive time in remote areas.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Good writing and communication skills in English.
Knowledge PRM, participatory assessment, awareness-raising and planning tools for NRM and DRM.
Skills in organizing and facilitating community field work actions, meetings and workshops.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with government, community leaders and other stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to engage with and represent CARE and its programs to communities and all levels of government.
Experience of working in Afar Region.
Ability to communicate in local language (Afar language).
Able to work in a very challenging environment and complex context and team.

Job Position 3 – Lead Community Facilitator

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA/BSc in Social Science, agriculture, food security, Disaster Risk management, climate change, community development or related fields
Desired
BSC in community capacity development/building in PSNP setting
Experience:2-4 years of work experience related to community capacity development, development facilitation at grassroots, partnership and/or accountability.
