Job Position – Humanitarian Intern
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Public Health, Social Science or Gender studies
Experence: Zero years of work experience
Female fresh graduate of 2023-2024
Desired Technical Skills
Good written and verbal, Amharic and English language skills

Duration of the internship: 1 year on a contract employment bases
Financial Support: CARE Ethiopia provides a fixed stipend as per the organizations’ policy for interns.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Data collection, gender assessment and survey,
Data processing, report writing, 4W matrix reporting, documentation, PR track
Survey participation, Proper documentation, proper PR tracing and reports.
FSL and cash Tasks:
Arrange and properly document data, information any type of documents
Facilitate signing of any documents of the FSL, such as NPO, ToR etc.
Support in checking the consistency of MBLs, payment sheets, ToR and NPO before printing and submission to the finance unit.
Support in the preparation, organizing, arrangement and printing of NPO and other associated documents and submit to the finance unit
Follow on the status of cash transfer letter delivery to the Banks and provide feedback to the team accordingly
support in checking and receiving procured agricultural inputs as per the samples and specifications before and after procurement
Facilitate the settlement of advances and payments made by field offices when settled at the Addis office.
Collect scanned version of distribution and any other accountable documents and properly document in folders
Health and nutrition tasks
Capture health and nutrition information including lessons and best practices recording Compilation and analysis for the action of health and nutrition information.
Communicating with field-based health and nutrition team and collecting and compiling updates, food distribution reports, and other information as appropriate.
Collecting information related to human disease outbreaks and preparing it for review and action by the health and nutrition program manager.
Facilitate initiation of PR for health and nutrition supplies and, facilitation and follow up of procurement of health and nutrition supplies.
Assist humanitarian staff in organizing workshops, review meetings, and other unit-level meetings. Produce minutes of workshops, review meetings, and other uit level meetings.
Collection, compilation, and analysis of health and nutrition data, malnutrition admission trends, public health epidemics, and other health and nutrition-related information.
Assist the health and nutrition program manager and, the health and nutrition specialist in report writing, production of case stories, collection of project progress reports etc.
Facilitate initiation of PR for health and nutrition supplies and, facilitation and follow up of procurement of health and nutrition supplies.
Assist humanitarian staff in organizing workshops, review meetings, and other unit-level meetings. Produce minutes of workshops, review meetings, and other high-level meetings.
Gender and Protection tasks
Co-facilitate gender and protection related trainings /workshops and capture relevant notes out of the training or workshop.
Document Gender and Protection data including lessons and good/best practices.
Communicate with field-based Gender and protection team and compiling 5Ws matrix as per the activity info data base.
Initiation PR for protection items including dignity kit supplies and follow up of procurement process.
Record notes, summarize and share from both virtual and in person Gender and Protection workshops /meetings.
Compile progress reports from field office and share as first draft with the Gender and Protection specialist and manager for review.
Communicate with the field-based protection team, capture concerns and share with the protection specialist and manager for support and action to follow up their progress.
