Job Position – WASH Engineer Expert
Required Qualification and Experience
Education : A bachelor’s degree in water resource engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in WASH engineering related roles.
Previous experience with NGOs is preferred.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo is required
Duties and Responsibilities
The WASH Engineer Expert will lead all the site construction activities in the provision of potable water to the communities. The Engineer will also closely work with CACH field teams, stakeholders, and community members through WASH soft activities to build their skills. By establishing effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks, the WASH Engineer will ensure the impact and sustainability of programs, ultimately contributing to the long-term well-being and self-sufficiency of vulnerable populations.
Internal and external coordination
Represent Caritas at all relevant technical external task forces, working groups, seminars or other meetings/forums which have been identified and approved and use these meetings to negotiate strategic, and advocacy positions.
Explain the project’s activities and objectives to partners and the community.
Participate in internal and external coordination meetings.
Integrate and coordinate the work of the community and local partners;
Provide the team with technical support.
