Job Position 1 – Human Resource Officer

Required Qualification and Experience

Education: Bsc in Human Resource Management
5 years relevant work experience
Professionally registered with the institute.
support the development and implementing of HR initiatives and system.
Familiar with Ethiopia labor laws.
responsible for Managing every aspect of employment process.
Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
Being actively involved in recruitment by preparing Job description, posting ads and managing the hiring process
Work Place: Addis Ababa
Deadline : March 24th 2025

1. Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
Accurate Employee Record-Keeping:
Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records for each employee, including personal details, employment history, attendance, payroll, performance reviews, training, and benefits.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws regarding document retention (typically a minimum of five years).

2. Standardized Performance Evaluation Process:
Develop and implement a clear, consistent process for evaluating employee performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, work quality, teamwork, punctuality, and initiative.
Schedule evaluations on an annual, quarterly, or probationary basis.

3. Thorough Documentation of Evaluations:
Record detailed notes from managerial reviews, self-assessments, and peer feedback.
Store evaluation records securely and make them available for performance-related decisions.

4. Performance-Based Bonus Policy:
Establish a bonus system that links employee performance outcomes to bonus eligibility (e.g., performance bonuses, annual bonuses, profit-sharing, and festival bonuses).
Clearly communicate bonus criteria and distribution methods to all employees.
Structured Salary Increment Guidelines:
Define clear guidelines for salary increases based on annual performance reviews, promotions, and cost-of-living adjustments.
Ensure transparency and fairness in the process to maintain employee motivation and trust.

6. Utilization of Digital HR Systems:
Adopt HR management software to streamline record-keeping, performance tracking, and bonus management.
Ensure that the system complies with data security and confidentiality requirements as mandated by Ethiopian regulations.

7. Legal Compliance and Confidentiality:
Ensure all HR practices, including record-keeping, evaluations, and bonus policies, adhere to Ethiopian labor laws and standards.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee information and performance data.
Good English Communication and writing Skills.
Abide by work arrangement, full of team spirit.
