Job Position 1 – Junior Procurement and Contracting Specialist
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Certificate/diploma or similar qualification from a recognised clerical college. A degree in accounting / finance /procurement is advantageous
Professional experience
Experence: At least 1-years’ professional experience in a comparable position
Other knowledge, additional competencies
Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office);
Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
Proven experience with all MS-office products
Duty station: Jigjiga, Somali Region

Other knowledge, additional competencies
Good English language skills required.
Somali and other regional language skills are an advantage.
Knowledge of government institutions active in natural resource management and pastoralism in Somali is an advantage.
Readiness to work in rural lowland environments.
High degree of initiative, integrity, and accountability.
Self-organized, with strong interpersonal skills, and a focus on results.
Ability to work structured and maintain the overview in a complex environment; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work under time pressure; stress tolerance and patience.
High work ethic and willingness to travel, discipline and punctuality.

Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Minimum of Diploma or B.A. in Accounting or Finance Management or a related field
Experience with IT -based accounting programs.
Professional experience:Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar environment
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
Other knowledge, additional competences:
Excellent command of MS-Office
previous expertise with EU co-financing is an advantage
Good command of English.
