Job Position 1 – Human Resource and Admin Officer

Required Qualification and Experince
Education:MA degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in an administrative or HR role
Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with travel arrangements and coordination
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong understanding of donor regulations and compliance requirements Experience in non-profit compliance and policy implementation.
Duration: One Year with possible extension up to five years
Duty station: Addis Ababa with travel to the regions from time to time
Deadline: March 15 /25

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
Manage program staffs records, including contracts, performance evaluations, and leave records.
Coordinate program staffs benefits and compensation packages.
Handle program staffs relations issues and address any concerns or complaints.
Compile and update program staffs records (hard and soft copies)
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
Coordinate HR related tasks for the EDGE program office aligned with the EDGE program goals (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes)
Deal with program staffs requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Oversee and manage daily administrative tasks and operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate with other program teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
Communicate with public services when necessary
Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
Coordinate travel arrangements for regional staff, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
Ensure that performance evaluation systems are consistent and streamlined
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and put in place policies and procedures to comply with health and safety regulations
Ensure that travel policies and procedures are followed
Supervise activities related to office management, including facility maintenance, supplies, security, logistics and equipment
Perform other related duties as assigned
