Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate orientation and sensitization meeting with the community.
Assist in planning and facilitation of various trainings in consultation with program staff.
Assist in facilitation of socio-economic and KAP surveys.

Consult communities and discuss with them on how to maximize the impact of IRC’s assistance and their participation.
Look for ways to enhance community participation in various projects and suggest best experiences.
Updating the sustainability of various IRC projects and assess the status in financial, technical and management, and reporting the strength and weakness of the old grant projects including the scope of support from Zonal water office/Woreda water desks.
Assist in building the capacity of the community (in line with the community’s action plan) to sustainable manage their water and sanitation facilities.
Assist in developing the facilitation skills of EHAs and Village Facilitators for Participatory Learning and Action/PLA Activities using the guideline.
Work on the sustainability of various IRC interventions in the area and suggest better experiences to relevant program.
Maintain a system for timely information and idea-sharing on lessons learned and changing circumstances on projects.
Maintain partnership and utilize the existing partner’s resources for community capacity building.
Organize and facilitate trainings of water committees and boards, plumbers and generator operators.
Enhance and ensure community participation at all stages of water projects (projects design, project implementation, project handing over and project evaluation).
Monitor and supervise the activities of water boards and water committee for old and new grants.
Conduct and work closely with other staff, close working relationship with relevant partner institutions.
Source and organize secondary socio-economic information of the zone and woredas.
Source and compile training materials for users.
Assist in facilitating the community, WUAs and FG people’s awareness for the donors visit and meetings.
Facilitate provisional and final hand over activities of the project and assist in collecting documents of provisional and final hand over, list of water management committees and list of capacity building materials provided for WMC and all necessary data.
Report to the Hygiene Promotion/PLA Officer.
Carry out other works as assigned by the organization.

Job Position 2 – Nutrition Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Diploma/BSc/MSc or equivalent experience in Nursing, public Health /MD
Minimum work experience of 5 years for Diploma, 2 years for BSc and 1 year for MSc/MD.

Duties and Responsibility
Take charge of planning and coordinating field-level TSFP activities, which include tasks such as preparing and estimating administrative costs for direct distributions. Additionally, submit operational requests to the program manager.
Prepare distribution plans providing estimates of the proposed number of beneficiaries and how distribution shall be affected.
Timely submission of the Food Distribution Plans to WFP for approval.
Lead the scoping/distribution planning community sensitization missions.
Prepare all TSFP tools required prior to each distribution and alert volunteers and ensure they are trained to undertake distributions.
Prepare food returns documentation from direct distributions- explained and documented.
Collaborate with the MHNT in Woreda to create joint work plans that connect the TSFP with the HMNT Community Case Management of Malnutrition (CMAM) activities.
Act as the link between the TSP team and the zonal/woreda administrations, WoHo and service recipient community.
As and when required actively represent IRC nutrition coordination cluster.
Verify, compile, and share complete timely reports of the TSFP activities to Woreda and, IRC Health and manager nutrition managers.
Prepare and submit on time to the WFP Shire office the weekly, monthly TSFP beneficiary reports, monthly distribution report including the waybill tracking sheets, and the monthly report invoice.
Participate in the preparation of the weekly Nutrition cluster 5Ws report on TSFP.
Develop TSFP process monitoring checklist in collaboration with M&E
Undertake regular TSFP monitoring field visits to provide on-the-job training, identify capacity gaps, material needs and collect TSFP activity reports from the field.
Review existing TSFP training packages and adapt (as required)
Mentor and coach, the Nutrition Assistants and Screeners.
Conduct TSFP and other nutrition-related training for HEWs and Health Development Army (HDAs) and Health workers in the Woredas.
Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs.

Job Position 3 -Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BSC/MPH, health officer and Nurse, with direct experience in immunization and surveillance.
Experience : At least 2 years of confirmed experience for bachelor’s degree; or master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience or 5 years of relevant experience for diploma holders.
A minimum of 1 year of direct experience leading or supervising an EPI/Surveillance project is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibility
Oversee health programs in assigned woredas, focusing on routine immunization, cold chain management, and Community-Based Disease Surveillance at both facility and community levels.
Implement BCC strategies, including developing and reprinting IEC/BCC materials.
Organize and coordinate workshops and training sessions on cold chain management, immunization practices, community-based surveillance and data management within the intervention woredas.
Facilitate quarterly review meetings with health and agriculture sectors.
Conduct monthly woreda-based One Health Task Force (OHTF) meetings.
Facilitate integrated supportive supervision (ISS) with regional, zonal, and woreda program experts on a quarterly basis.

Support Woreda Health and Agriculture offices in community engagement activities.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and final health program reports for submission to the Addis Technical Unit via the Health and Nutrition Managers

Grants Management
Regularly follow the status of indicators and take correction measure for the deviance from the target
Implement the project activities as per the workplan Prepare.
Check the status of the approved IR line in line with procurement and workplan.
Responsible for revision and updating of activity, spending, and procurement plans for the active grant.
Control the proper use of materials procured under GA323 grants before or within the grant period to avoid old grant depositions.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Collaborate with the Health and Nutrition Manager to monitor and evaluate program activities.
Ensure monthly and quarterly indicators are achieved as per the plan.
Update the indicator tracking tool monthly in coordination with the Assosa MEAL team.
Work closely with the MEAL field office team to collect client feedback.
Develop and implement response mechanisms to address feedback effectively.
Participate in supportive supervision, quarterly monitoring visits, and annual monitoring visits conducted in the woreda.
Share visit findings with the Health and Nutrition Manager.
Actively engage in mid-term and final evaluations in the intervention woredas.
This ensures proper tracking, accountability, and continuous improvement in program performance and donor compliance.
Human Resource Management
Prepare and submitted time sheet in every month timely.
