Job Position 1 – Junior Agronomist

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Develops planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems.
Develops planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Researches and promotes agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage,
Assesses crop production of the farm,
Evaluates and improves seed quality,
Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples,
Performs quality control for seed caliber and soil standards,
Visits fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples,
Tests samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes,
Conduct soil analyses and develop nutrient management plans,
Recommend and oversee the application of fertilizers, soil conditioners, and other amendments to improve soil health,
Assists with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection,
Keeps detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples,
Generates reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties,
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA or MA Degree Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience: 2 years for BA/0 year for MA

Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher amongst others.

Duties and Responsibilities
Records and maintains appropriate financial transactions and accounts based on the company policies and procedures.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
Prepares and maintains monthly bank account records, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
Records revenues, expenses, accruals, adjustments, etc. accurately and appropriately.
Posts transactions to general ledger accurately and timely.
Records, corrects and adjusts journal entries and prepares trial balance.
Collects and files financial documents from various units, and balance the daily records and prepares proof sheet and supporting documents.
Maintains tracers for all suspense accounts and checks the agreement of the total with the respective general ledger balance.
Prepares and submits timely, accurate, and complete periodic financial statements for review.
Identifies and codes all financial documents based on chart of accounts of the Company.
Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA or MA Degree Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience: 5 years for BA / 3 years for MA
work Place: Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists and participates in the preparation of operational plan of the Finance function.
Reviews and refines financial transactions and accounts based on Company policies and procedures.
Prepares the general journals for the company and its subsidiaries.
Reviews and checks the completeness and adequacy of financial documents.
Inspects & tests books of accounts for accuracy and performs other advanced general accounting tasks.
Checks all transactions and decisions are supported by proper documentation and authorization.
Verifies that bank statements are reconciled with the book of accounts.
Confirms expenditures are justified, properly made, signed, and charged to correctaccounts/project budget.
Reconciles general ledger for assigned accounts, researches discrepancies and prepares and/or correct journal entries in the general ledger.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Participates in the preparation of Corporate financial reports such as balance sheet, income statements (profits and loss) and other related reports.
Collects and analyzes financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Produces error-free accounting reports and presents their results.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
Ensures the Company complies with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
