The National Bank of Ethiopia was established in 1963 by proclamation 206 of 1963 and began operation in January 1964. Prior to this proclamation, the Bank used to carry out dual activities, i.e. commercial banking and central banking.

Position 1 – Senior Administrative Assistant
Qualification & Experience
Diploma and above in Customer Contact and Secretarial Operation Coordination, Secretarial Science, Administrative Secretary, Office Administration and Secretarial Science, and Administrative Services Management & Technology System. In this regard, Business fields are not considered for the position.
7/3 years of relevant experience for diploma or 1st degree holder respectively, Finance sector experience is preferable.
For diploma holder CoC Level IV obligatory.
Job Description:
Read incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
Handle and prioritize all outgoing or incoming correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
Make travel arrangements for executives.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Office
Facilitate office facilities (stationery and other supplies) of the office.
Organize/arrange meetings, take minutes and prepare reports of the meetings.
Schedule or follow-up appointment
Manage documents and files based on catalogue
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Fluency in written and spoken in both English and Amharic
Excellent Organizational Skill and attention to details
Excellent time management skill with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures and record keeping systems
Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills
Excellent knowledge of basic computer applications
Ability to work under pressure
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and responsiveness
Position 2 – Executive Secretary – Re-advertised
Diploma and Above in Customer Contact and Secretarial Operation Coordination, Secretarial Science, Administrative Secretary, Office Administration and Secretarial Science, and Administrative Services Management & Technology System. In this regard, Business fields are not considered for the position.
8/4 years of relevant experience for diploma or 1st degree holder respectively, of which at least 2 years and above as Executive Secretary; preferable in Financial Institutions, Federal Buraeus and NGO’s.
For diploma holder CoC Level IV is obligatory.

Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Executive Management of the Bank.
Receive and Read incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance.

Welcoming and Greet customers and visitors
