Job Position – Tax Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics or related field with 4 years of experience in tax accounting or tax advisory roles
Trainings on tax and related issues.
Strong knowledge of tax laws & regulations and preparation of tax return.
Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to non-tax professionals
Location: Addis Ababa
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, regional, and local tax returns for the bank.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of returns by collaborating with all units of the bank
Act as tax advisor on matters related to tax compliance of the bank
Stay updated on changes in the country’s tax laws, regulations, and banking industry trends to ensure proactive tax planning of the bank
Support the preparation and response to internal or external tax audits.
Provide necessary documentation and work closely with the bank team to resolve any tax issues
Provide training to staffs on tax matters
Perform other duty assigned by immediate supervisors
