Job Position – Accountant

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Peachtree accounting software.
Strong knowledge of local tax regulations, including monthly filing and in-person submission requirements.
Excellent skills in MS Excel and financial data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Professional demeanor with effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Document Preparation:
Prepare, organize, and maintain all financial and operational documents in a timely and systematic manner

Tax Preparation and Submission:
Prepare monthly tax documents, including VAT and other statutory requirements, and submit them to the local tax office both online and in person.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and maintain accurate records for audits.

Financial Statements Submission:
Prepare and submit monthly financial statements to local tax offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Address any queries and maintain professional relationships with tax authorities.

Payroll Management:
Manage payroll processes, including salary calculations, deductions, and timely disbursement to employees.

Peachtree Software Operations:
Perform accurate coding, posting, and financial entries using Peachtree accounting software. Ensure all financial records are up to date and reconciled.

Stock Recording and Control:
Record and monitor inventory stock levels, ensuring accuracy in stock reporting and implementing effective control measures.

Bank Reconciliation:
Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Import Cost Build-Up:
Calculate and allocate the total cost of imported items, including duties, taxes, freight, and other related expenses.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct cost analysis and provide insights for budgeting and cost optimization.

Liaising with Tax Authorities:

Manage all communication with tax offices, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
